UNLV Alumni Rebels Forever Affinity Cards

The goal was to create a visually compelling debit and credit card series that reflects UNLV alumni pride while aligning with the financial institution’s brand. The designs needed to be bold and make any Las Vegas local excited to get a Rebels Forever card in their wallet.

 
 

Challenge

UNLV Alumni Association sought a financial partner to launch co-branded debit and credit cards that could generate revenue while capturing alumni pride and local identity.

Strategy

Focus on the bold elements of the UNLV brand for the card designs. Also strategize a launch campaign that will create awareness and drive new accounts.

Solution

Design a set of Rebels Forever cards, each with their own personality that any Rebel would be proud to carry in their wallet.
With every swipe, every transaction gives back to the UNLV Alumni Association at no cost to the member banking with Silver State Schools Credit Union.

What does it mean to be a Rebel?

When designing these cards, there were a number of differnt variations that were created. There were concepts that focused on alumni, campus life and UNLV’s architecture. We found that showing imagery of alumni and campus life would make these card be viewed as an alumni only product. On the contrary, these cards are for anyone who would like to show support for their cities university.

 
 

UNLV Golf Tournament Launch Event

The team had the honor and the priviledge to sponsor a hole for UNLV’s annual Fred C. Albrecht '71 Golf Tournament 2026. Here we offically launched the Rebels Forever affinity cards to the public. We were able to showcase the three card designs and give a bit of information on the benefits that Silver State Schools Credit Union Provides
